Key Responsibilities
- Design, program, and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems
- Develop electrical control schematics, panel layouts, and I/O documentation
- Specify and configure automation hardware (PLCs, drives, sensors, safety devices)
- Support installation, commissioning, and startup of new equipment and systems
- Diagnose and resolve control system issues to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with mechanical, process, and quality engineers on system integration
- Implement safety standards and ensure compliance with applicable codes (NFPA, UL, OSHA, etc.)
- Modify and improve existing control systems to enhance performance and reliability
- Create and maintain technical documentation and standard operating procedures
- Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production teams
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in industrial automation or controls engineering (adjust as needed)
- Experience with PLC programming (Allen‑Bradley, Siemens, or equivalent)
- Familiarity with HMIs, VFDs, servos, and industrial networking protocols
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and cross‑functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Knowledge of safety PLCs and machine safety standards
- Experience with SCADA systems and data collection
- Exposure to robotics, vision systems, or motion control
- Project management or capital equipment experience

This is a Permanent position based out of Waukesha, WI.
Pay And Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.
