Healthfirst’s 2026 Summer Trailblazer Internship is a 10-week paid program beginning on June 1, 2026. This is an immersive and interactive learning experience that lays a foundation for continued leadership development. Interns do impactful work, collaborating with other interns, employees, and business leaders to solve current business problems and deliver solutions. Interns must be within a commutable distance from our New York offices at 100 Church Street, and are expected on site Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays For nearly 30 years, Healthfirst has been serving New Yorkers. We helped pioneer the value-based healthcare model—where hospitals and physicians are paid based on patient outcomes—because our company was founded on the belief that insurers need to be true partners in the health system.
- Duties & Responsibilities:
- Operatewith intellectual curiosity and critically assess existing processes and procedures to
identifyopportunities for improvement
- Hold oneself accountable for the accuracy, completeness, quality, and relevance of deliverables
in order toown responsibility for work product
- Exhibitcollaborative attitude, willingness to work with others on features that included working team(s) made of cross departmental/interdisciplinary users
- Additionalduties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Passion for solving challenging problems using technology
- Possesstechnical curiosity and the desire to learn new things quickly
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task andmaintainattention to detail
- Ability to work in teams and build good working relationships
- Excellent interpersonal skills and follow- up skills
- Experience with object-oriented programming and ability to learn new programming languages
- Very strongverbal and written communication skillsrequired
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Familiarity withJavaScript,SQLReactand Python
- Interest or experience with AI and API integration
- Undergraduate students must beseniorat an accredited institution or havegraduated within 12 months of the program. Graduate students must be enrolled at an accredited institution or have graduated within 12 months of the program.

Hiring Range*:
- Greater New York City Area (NY, NJ, CT residents): $40,200 - $54,570
- All Other Locations (within approved locations): $34,900 - $52,000
As a candidate for this position, your salary and related elements of compensation will be contingent upon your work experience, education, licenses and certifications, and any other factors Healthfirst deems pertinent to the hiring decision.
