Senior Program Manager

About the Opportunity

The organization is seeking a Senior Program Manager for Product Operations & R&D Governance to lead the strategic execution of portfolio roadmap initiatives. Operating within a remote-first work environment, this role serves as the central driver of delivery governance, risk management, and performance tracking to ensure product milestones are met with precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive the end-to-end delivery of roadmap initiatives, managing cross-functional dependencies and team alignment.
• Facilitate governance sessions and executive reporting to maintain operational transparency and accountability.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) that promote consistent, high-quality execution.
• Partner with senior leaders, product owners, and technical program managers to align organizational strategy with execution.
• Strengthen project management capabilities across the organization through coaching and enablement.
• Champion continuous improvement and operational excellence across product and technology functions.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in business, operations, education, or a related field.
• 8+ years of SaaS industry experience.
• 6+ years of program or project management experience.
• PMP or PgMP certification.
• Demonstrated proficiency in agile and waterfall methodologies.
• Fluency in Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, and Confluence.
• Advanced proficiency in process mapping tools.
• Proven track record of managing complex programs and budgets.
• Experience successfully collaborating in cross-functional, virtual team environments.
• Strong strategic thinking, leadership, communication, and executive presentation skills.
• Inclusive and collaborative approach to teamwork.
• Willingness to take on evolving responsibilities according to business needs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the edtech or publishing industries.

Role Details & Compensation

• Employment Type: Full time
• Location: Remote (United States)
• Salary Range: $120,000—$140,000 USD

Actual compensation is determined through individualized assessment based on several factors, including relevant experience, skill sets, and alignment with market research and compensation principles.
