Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $115,000 to $160,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger activities, payables, receivables, payroll support, cash management, and fixed assets.
- Lead month end, quarter end, and year end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Prepare and review reconciliations, journal entries, and financial analyses to maintain reporting accuracy.
- Partner with operational and finance teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and business performance initiatives.
- Drive process improvements, support audit activities, and assist with strategic projects such as growth initiatives and financial transactions.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership or supervisory responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of accounting standards, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Prior experience working with accounting software, enterprise systems, and advanced Excel functions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and perform effectively in a fast paced environment.
Qualifications
- Professional certification or progress toward certification.
- Previous experience within hospitality, restaurant, retail, consumer products, or other multi location environments.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to interpret financial results and identify trends.
- Excellent communication and leadership abilities with experience developing and supporting team members.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to improving processes and supporting business growth.
