Position Overview
Fuse3 Solutions is partnered with a financial services institution seeking an experienced Senior Database Developer to join a growing technology team and take ownership of the performance, availability, security, and reliability of critical database environments. This individual will be responsible for the definition, creation, and maintenance of database architecture and ETL processes using TSQL coding and SSIS. Additional responsibilities include the administration, optimization, troubleshooting, disaster recovery, and ongoing platform improvements across enterprise systems.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on database professional who can work independently, solve complex technical problems, and partner effectively with application developers, infrastructure teams, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer, monitor, maintain, and optimize enterprise database environments to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability.
- Design and implement database solutions that support business applications and organizational growth.
- Perform database installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, migrations, and maintenance.
- Develop and maintain backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Partner with application development teams on database design, SQL optimization, stored procedures, indexing, and application performance.
- Support database integrations and data movement between enterprise applications and platforms.
- Establish and maintain database standards, documentation, procedures, and operational best practices.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on database administration experience in an enterprise environment.
- Strong experience administering relational database management systems such as Microsoft SQL Server
- Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, performance tuning, stored procedures, indexing, and database troubleshooting.
