Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Controller to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $160,000 to $180,000 per year.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead accounting operations by overseeing financial reporting, general ledger activities, and month end close processes.
- Manage customer billing activities and monitor revenue related transactions to ensure accurate financial records.
- Analyze costs, profitability, inventory activity, and operational performance to support business decision making.
- Partner with operations, supply chain, and other departments to improve financial performance and reporting accuracy.
- Develop accounting procedures, internal controls, and process improvements that strengthen efficiency and compliance.
Requirements
- A Bachelor degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Maintain an active CPA designation and strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements.
- Bring leadership experience within accounting, controllership, or public accounting environments.
- Demonstrate proficiency with enterprise resource planning systems and financial management software.
- Possess experience with financial statement preparation, audits, internal controls, and business reporting.
Qualifications
- Apply strong analytical and problem solving skills to evaluate financial results and resolve complex accounting matters.
- Demonstrate experience with manufacturing, cost accounting, financial planning, or operational finance activities preferred.
- Communicate effectively with executives, auditors, consultants, and cross functional stakeholders.
- Lead and develop accounting teams while promoting accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
