About The Role
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Data Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing cloud data infrastructure primarily on Azure Cloud Data Stacks and Snowflake. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and secure data solutions that meet various business requirements. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with cloud data services, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code (IaC). This position offers the flexibility to work remotely within the United States, with specific in-office requirements for candidates in Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. You will play a crucial role in ensuring high availability, performance, and security of our cloud data platforms, contributing to the overall success of our data initiatives and healthcare solutions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in setting up and managing Cloud Data Platform infrastructure for Azure Cloud Data Stacks (ADF, SHIR, LogicApps, ADLS Gen2, Blob Storage)
- 3+ years of experience in Snowflake configuration, optimization, and management
- 3+ years of experience with DevOps tools and practices, including GitActions CI/CD and Terraform
- 2+ years of experience configuring and optimizing Databricks for data engineering and analytics workloads
- Hands-on experience with AI-enabled data engineering tools
- Experience working within Agile delivery methodologies
- Strong understanding of cloud architecture and infrastructure as code (IaC) principles
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and deliver high-quality solutions under tight deadlines
- Willingness to travel as required by business needs
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and manage cloud data infrastructure utilizing Azure Data Factory, Self-hosted Integration Runtime, LogicApps, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, and Blob Storage
- Configure and optimize Snowflake data warehouses to align with business requirements and improve performance
- Develop, maintain, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitActions to streamline deployment processes
- Utilize Terraform to automate infrastructure deployment and manage cloud resources as code
- Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver scalable solutions
- Monitor cloud data platforms, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and performance
- Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and cloud resources
- Stay updated with emerging cloud technologies and continuously improve existing data solutions
