Software Engineer (Cassandra) at BairesDev

As a Software Engineer specializing in Cassandra, you will manage and optimize high-availability, distributed NoSQL workloads. You will ensure the stability and performance of wide-column database clusters at massive scale to support critical data-driven applications.

What You'll Do:

- Design, deploy, and maintain large-scale Apache Cassandra clusters across multiple environments.

- Optimize database performance by tuning compaction, repairs, and data modeling for wide-column storage.

- Implement robust monitoring and alerting for cluster health, latency, and throughput metrics.

- Manage data migration, backup, and recovery processes to ensure high availability and data integrity.

- Collaborate with engineering teams to architect scalable data schemas and efficient query patterns.

What we are looking for:

- 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering or Database Engineering.

- Proven expertise in operating and managing Apache Cassandra clusters at massive scale.

- Deep understanding of wide-column data modeling and distributed database internals.

- Hands-on experience with Cassandra performance tuning, consistency levels, and compaction strategies.

- Advanced proficiency in English.
