Software Engineer (Apache HBase) at BairesDev

As a Software Engineer specializing in Apache HBase, you will develop and operate high-performance NoSQL database solutions to provide real-time access to large-scale datasets. You will play a critical role in ensuring the scalability and reliability of our data storage layer within the Hadoop ecosystem.

What You'll Do:

- Design and implement scalable HBase schemas to support low-latency read/write operations.

- Manage and optimize HBase clusters, including region servers, master nodes, and ZooKeeper coordination.

- Monitor and tune performance through effective management of compactions, splits, and memory settings.

- Troubleshoot complex issues related to data consistency, region server health, and cluster availability.

- Collaborate with data platform teams to integrate HBase with the broader Big Data ecosystem.

What we are looking for:

- 4+ years of experience in Software Engineering, Data Engineering, or Big Data.

- Proven expertise in developing and operating Apache HBase for real-time data access.

- Proficiency in managing HBase regions, compaction processes, and schema design.

- Hands-on experience with NoSQL databases and the Hadoop ecosystem.

- Strong understanding of wide-column store architectures and performance tuning.

- Advanced proficiency in English.
