For our client, we are seeking a Sr. Software Engineer (Tech Lead) - Typescript/React to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.
This role will provide technical leadership for a software engineering team, with a strong focus on building and modernizing web-based products using TypeScript and React. The person in this position will shape engineering direction, improve delivery quality, and partner closely with fellow engineers to strengthen the team’s technical execution. This is a hands-on leadership role that also calls for thoughtful problem solving, architectural awareness, and a steady focus on maintainable systems.
The position is well suited to someone who can guide development decisions while also contributing directly to implementation in a remote, collaborative environment. A key part of the work will be balancing modernization efforts with service continuity while helping the team adopt practical AI-enabled workflows.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $114,800 – $191,400 annually
Responsibilities
- Own and ensure the technical outcomes and quality of team deliverables.
- Define technical direction and implement solutions for features.
- Mentor engineers to strengthen their skills and technical judgment.
- Integrate AI tools into engineering workflows and automate tasks.
- Identify and manage technical debt and architectural risks proactively.
- Diagnose complex technical issues and facilitate their resolution.
- Ensure quality is embedded in the development process from start to finish.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in TypeScript, JavaScript, Node.js, Express, and React.
- Experience with relational databases, including PostgreSQL, and REST API design.
- Ability to modernize legacy code while maintaining service continuity.
- Strong debugging skills and familiarity with automated testing techniques.
- Experience as a technical lead or senior engineer influencing team direction.
