For our client, we are seeking a Software Engineer-Developer 4 (Virtual) to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space.
This role will help drive software design and development across the full lifecycle, with a focus on architecture, requirements, reliability, and performance. The position partners with cross-functional teams to enhance and optimize software products that support complex technical operations. It also involves troubleshooting user issues, evaluating emerging technologies, and helping ensure solutions align with industry standards and regulatory expectations.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $149,600 – $232,300 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead software design and development across the complete lifecycle
- Coordinate enhancements and optimization for software products
- Develop and maintain software architecture and requirements
- Debug and resolve software reliability and efficiency issues
- Handle user inquiries and troubleshoot technical problems
- Research and implement emerging technologies relevant to software
- Track and evaluate performance of software teams and suppliers
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 5-7 years of experience in software development
- Proven skills in software lifecycle management
- Experience with system integrations
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
- Strong project management skills
