The Role
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and test software applications or operating systems
- Apply knowledge of software architecture to create, debug, and design solutions
- Build enhancements within existing software architecture and suggest improvements
- Contribute to the full software development lifecycle in Linux environments
- Work with large-scale distributed production systems with high availability and scalability
- Implement secure software systems with robust authentication, authorization, and identity management
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in software development
- 6 years experience in designing, developing, and operating large-scale distributed production systems (1000+ server instances)
- Programming proficiency in Java, Python, C/C++, or Go with object-oriented design
- Experience with distributed systems architecture (fault tolerance, data consistency, asynchronous processing)
- Hands-on experience with cloud-based services using public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, or OCI)
- Knowledge of database technologies including SQL, NoSQL, distributed data stores, and caching (Redis/Memcache)
- Experience designing multi-tenant, highly available cloud-native applications with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices
- Familiarity with scalable data processing systems like real-time pipelines using Kafka or Kinesis
- Experience with monitoring, logging, and observability tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, or Grafana
