A fast-growing fintech startup is hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer to take full ownership of its client-facing platform and embedded SDK. This is a full-time role with a US-based team building modern TypeScript applications using web components and Lit, powering integrations for banks and fintech platforms. The company operates in a highly technical, security-focused environment where frontend quality directly impacts revenue and customer adoption.
This opportunity stands out because the engineer hired will define how the frontend is built as the company scales. You'll be the first frontend specialist on a small, senior engineering team, setting architectural standards, owning SDK design and distribution, and working closely with backend systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys autonomy, greenfield decision-making, and shipping production software used by large financial partners.
Required Skills & Experience
- 6+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Advanced TypeScript proficiency
- Hands-on experience with web components and/or Lit
- Experience designing and maintaining frontend or client SDKs
- Comfort working in a full-stack environment
Desired Skills & Experience
- React or Next.js background
- Ruby on Rails experience
- Fintech, banking, or payments API exposure
- Browser extension or web automation experience
