About The Role
The Program Manager coordinates complex initiatives across platform engineering, infrastructure, security, and product teams. The role turns technical strategy into executable plans, managing dependencies across cloud services, APIs, data pipelines, and developer tooling.
This role matters because reliable technical delivery depends on more than strong engineering. The Program Manager establishes operating rhythms, makes risks visible, and drives programs from roadmap definition through launch, adoption, and measurable operational results in a hybrid San Francisco environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive cross-functional programs from scope definition through production launch, aligning engineering, product, security, and operations stakeholders on milestones and acceptance criteria
- Build and maintain integrated project plans in tools such as Jira, Linear, or Asana, including dependencies, critical paths, owners, and delivery forecasts
- Coordinate releases involving cloud infrastructure, microservices, APIs, data pipelines, and internal developer platforms
- Establish program operating mechanisms, including weekly reviews, decision logs, risk registers, status reporting, and executive readouts
- Track delivery and operational metrics such as roadmap predictability, deployment frequency, incident trends, service-level objectives, and adoption
- Identify blockers across teams and vendors, drive resolution, and escalate decisions with clear options, impact analysis, and recommendations
- Lead post-launch reviews and translate findings into process improvements, technical debt plans, and follow-on program roadmaps
What We Are Looking For
- 3-8 years of program, technical project, product operations, or engineering operations experience in a technology environment
- Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional programs involving software engineering, cloud infrastructure, security, or data systems
- Strong command of project planning, dependency management, risk mitigation, and executive communication
- Hands-on experience with Jira, Linear, Asana, Confluence, Notion, or comparable planning and documentation tools
- Technical fluency in software development lifecycles, APIs, cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure, and modern CI/CD practices
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: experience with Agile or Scrum practices, SQL or analytics tools, incident management, platform engineering, or scaled program management
