About the Opportunity:

The Data Engineer designs and maintains automated data pipelines and ETL processes that support data integration, transformation, and analytics. This role ensures timely, accurate, and reliable data delivery while improving data quality, automation, and overall data infrastructure.

Responsibilities:

• Design, create, and maintain frameworks for importing and transforming data into usable tables.

• Develop, schedule, and trigger data pipelines and ETL processes.

• Implement automated validation and alerting for data processes.

• Use AI language models to support ETL development when applicable.

• Build and document data integration frameworks, including API connections, database tables, and CSV extracts.

• Use Snowflake and Azure Data Factory for data integration and automation.

• Collaborate with business users, technology teams, data analysts, programmers, and project managers to define requirements and implement solutions.

• Manage version control for data automation revisions.

• Maintain data warehouse configuration documentation.

• Perform data validation, cleansing, and quality assurance checks.

• Optimize data delivery timing for analysts and third-party systems.

• Diagnose and resolve data-related issues.

• Identify and implement process improvements.

• Support other credit union functions as needed.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Business, or equivalent experience.

• Minimum 2 years of related experience in a financial institution.

• Proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL transformation tools.

• Experience importing data from APIs and file sources, as well as transformation, pipeline development, extraction, and data mining.

• Familiarity with Snowflake and Azure Data Factory preferred.

• Must be bondable with an acceptable credit history.

Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• USD $88,740–$133,110 per year.
