Salary: $2,000 USD/monthy

Schedule: Full-time schedule requiring a minimum of 6 hours daily overlap with US Eastern Time (EST/EDT)

The Role

Our Client is seeking a sharp, highly technical Senior Full-Stack Developer to lead and advance the architectural development of their core internal web application. Comprising approximately 70% backend development (Python/Django) and 30% frontend/template integration (Jinja2, HTMX, JavaScript, CSS), this position plays a pivotal role in finalizing stack modernization initiatives, migrating legacy systems, and optimizing database architecture. Reporting directly to the Software Development Manager, this role is designed for a senior engineer who deeply embraces agentic coding workflows (e.g., Claude Code), mentors mid-level developers, and architects scalable solutions for rapid business expansion.

Key Responsibilities

Full-Stack Engineering & Stack Modernization

• Architect, code, and maintain enterprise web applications utilizing Python, Django, Jinja2, HTMX, CSS, and vanilla JavaScript.
• Drives core backend functionality, REST API integrations, and database design across Docker, AWS, MySQL, Celery, and Redis environments.
• Participates across the full software development lifecycle—from architectural design and database modeling to coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance.
• Leads critical technical initiatives, including the transition from legacy applications to Django, future PostgreSQL database migrations, and bringing external third-party services in-house.

Agentic AI Workflows & Technical Leadership

• Proactively explores, implements, and scales agentic coding workflows (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) across development teams to maximize code output while maintaining high architectural quality.
• Independently proposes, discusses, and executes complex technical solutions and system optimizations.
• Advises on architectural patterns, reviews team pull requests, and provides technical mentorship to mid-level developers.
• Translates complex software requirements into maintainable, well-tested code while delivering accurate timeline estimations for key project milestones.
• Rapidly diagnoses and resolves time-sensitive production issues; assists in technical interview processes for future engineering hires.

Qualifications, Skills, and Key Competencies

Required Qualifications

• Software Engineering Experience: 7+ years of professional full-stack software development experience.
• Python/Django Mastery: 5+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience building web applications using Django or equivalent Python frameworks.
• Agentic Coding Proficiency: Daily operational comfort leveraging AI-driven agentic development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) to accelerate feature delivery.
• Full-Stack Architecture: Deep experience with backend optimization, RESTful API design, non-SPA frontend development (JavaScript, CSS, HTML), Jinja2 templates, and Git workflows.
• Database & Testing Competency: Strong proficiency in relational databases (MySQL or similar) and writing comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• English Fluency: Excellent professional written and spoken English communication skills.
• Ownership & Mentorship: Proven capability to lead projects independently, collaborate with business stakeholders, and mentor junior/mid-level engineers.
• Remote Infrastructure: Dedicated workspace with high-speed, stable internet, a clear microphone, and a webcam for team syncs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with HTMX and jQuery.
• Practical exposure to AWS infrastructure services (EC2, ECS, S3, RDS).
