The Role
• Define, develop, and evolve software in a fast-paced, agile environment utilizing modern technologies.
• Provide technical leadership and domain expertise to a team of electricity market application software engineers.
• Lead and contribute to the development of electricity market applications, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
• Collaborate with customers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure software meets quality and functional requirements.
• Mentor junior team members and contribute to knowledge sharing.
• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, and security best practices.
What You'll Need
• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on Power Systems or Optimization.
• Minimum of two years of experience in Power Systems Analysis, specifically in Electricity Market Optimization application development.
• Strong understanding of Mixed-Integer Programming (MIP).
• Hands-on experience developing optimization software for large-scale systems, including Unit Commitment and Economic Dispatch problems.
• Familiarity with wholesale market management systems (e.g., PJM, Midwest ISO, ISO New England).
• Experience with testing and test automation, and knowledge of source control management (e.g., GitHub).
