The Role
- Design and build cloud-native backend services using Python and FastAPI for a new Portfolio Management System.
- Integrate with Bloomberg and other market data providers to support real-time data ingestion.
- Develop scalable REST APIs and real-time services using WebSockets and event-driven architectures.
- Optimize application performance, cloud resource utilization, and system scalability within Microsoft Azure.
- Collaborate daily with client engineering leads and contribute to architecture discussions.
- Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve application reliability.
What You'll Need
- 5+ years of backend software development experience with strong Python skills.
- Proven experience developing REST APIs using FastAPI or similar Python frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Bloomberg API integration.
- Strong understanding of backend application architecture, distributed systems, and external API integration.
- Expertise in SQL, PostgreSQL, and designing scalable backend solutions for high-volume data.
- Experience deploying and supporting applications within Microsoft Azure or other major cloud platforms.
