Job Roles And Responsibilities

Perform structural engineering design for a variety of innovative and technically challenging projects.
Develop structural systems and solutions using advanced engineering analysis and design methods.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other project team members throughout project development.
Contribute to projects involving seismically resilient and high-performance structural design.
Support sustainable structural design solutions and performance-focused engineering.
Develop thoughtful and constructible structural details.
Design structures using multiple structural materials and systems.
Apply engineering judgment to understand and address overall project objectives.
Participate in multidisciplinary project coordination.
Continue developing technical knowledge and engineering capabilities.
Contribute to a culture of reciprocal learning and continual professional development.
Support innovative approaches to structural design and architectural expression.
Communicate technical concepts effectively with project team members and stakeholders.

Qualifications And Certifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
Master's degree in Structural Engineering preferred.
Minimum 4 years of structural engineering design office experience.
California Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred/expected for the ideal candidate.
Strong structural engineering design skills.
Experience designing structures using multiple structural materials preferred.
Experience developing structural details.
Ability to understand the full project and coordinate structural solutions with architectural intent.
Experience with seismic design preferred.
Experience with sustainable or high-performance structural design preferred.
Architectural training or architectural design experience is a plus.
Strong commitment to continual learning and professional development.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Compensation

$85,000-$100,000 annually for candidates without a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
$100,000-$120,000 annually for candidates who hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license.
