For our client, we are seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails/React) to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space.
This role will help shape and deliver high-impact software experiences that support meaningful customer and business outcomes in a fast-moving consumer technology environment. You will own complex feature development across the stack while also strengthening reliability, architecture, and code quality. The position partners closely with product and design to refine priorities, improve internal tooling, and guide technical decisions. It is also well suited for an experienced engineer who enjoys mentoring others and contributing to a collaborative, outcomes-driven team.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $175,000 – $200,000 annually
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and deliver complex features in Ruby on Rails and React
- Lead technical debt mitigation and system reliability efforts
- Influence architecture and system design for long-term improvements
- Set high standards for code quality and mentor others
- Drive enhancements to internal tooling and CI/CD processes
- Facilitate technical discussions and guide team decisions
- Act as a point of escalation for complex technical challenges
- Collaborate with product managers and designers to shape feature direction
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional software development experience
- Advanced proficiency in Ruby on Rails and relational databases
- Familiarity with Redis, PostgreSQL, and Sidekiq in production environments
- Proficiency in React and full stack development
- Demonstrated experience leveraging AI to enhance tools and features
- Strong collaboration skills with mentorship abilities
- Permanent U.S. residency required
