Position : Material Handler

Must be able to work in a cold work place, fork lift experience is a plus.
Qualifications
Reading, writing and basic arithmetic skills.
Familiarity with PC and basic use of a Windows environment preferred.
Ability to safely operate all required BD equipment.
Fork lift experience is a plus
Use of packaging equipment such as scales and wrapping machines.
Lifting or moving of 5 - 25 lbs.
continuously, 25 - 60 lbs. frequently using appropriate equipment.
Must be able to work in refrigeration (2-8 Celsius) up to 10 hours per day.
Must be capable of handling all assigned duties required by use of all equipment (i.e. Turret truck, Order Picker, Fork-lift and Truck Tractors and Trailers).
General knowledge of trailer/container refrigerated units preferred.
Continuous attention to detail operations requires some diversification in approach to fairly routine processes.
Ability to work independently and/or with little direct supervision.
Must have the capability of coordinating and/or executing special projects at the Distribution Center.
6-12 months experience warehouse/logistics
Forklift license required OR ability to obtain license within one month of hire
Responsibilities
Works on assignments that are moderately complex in nature where ability to recognize a potential deviation from accepted process may be required
Uses judgment requiring location and storage of items, proper packing, and safe methods of movement for materials.
Uses hand/or electric trucks including forklifts and other motorized vehicles requiring licenses.
Keeps accurate logs for BD and the DOT (both written and on computer). Be able to work in a cold work place
