For our client, we are seeking a Senior Engineering Manager Structural Processing (remote) to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will lead technical initiatives focused on scalable systems, platform reliability, and meaningful business transformation. You will work across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. The position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Aerospace & Defense environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Compensation: $132,400 – $251,600 annually
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of manufacturing and automation engineers
- Manage hiring and performance for an experienced team
- Provide technical leadership for automation solutions
- Guide solution development from problem definition to deployment
- Influence stakeholders on technical standards and direction
- Support equipment commissioning and ownership transition
- Develop robust enterprise-level equipment solutions
Qualifications
- Degree in STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) and 10 years relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree with 7 years experience
- Experience in developing and deploying industrial manufacturing equipment
- Demonstrated background in industrial automation and robotics
- Working knowledge of industrial controls and PLC systems
- Familiarity with functional safety principles
- Experience leading engineering teams
- Ability to evaluate complex engineering solutions
