Description
Stages daily shipments to support customer requirements. Responsible for putting finished Goods in their appropriate areas and maintain a proper FIFO order in finished goods.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:.
- Stage shipments daily to current customer requirements.
- Required to maintain FIFO for finished goods in support of customer requirements.
- Responsible for putting finished goods in their appropriate areas and maintain a proper FIFO order in finished goods.
- Responsible for stacking, staging, drying and retrieving dunnage for the production lines.
- Will provide support for maintenance, 5S, engineering, sorts and other tasks outside the work cell.
- Must be able to operate a pallet wrapper.
- Knowledge of bar code scanning in support of scan to ship.
- Follow safety rules and keep work area clean and in an orderly condition.
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Follows all safety rules and keeps work area in a clean and orderly condition.
- Performs other duties as necessary.
Qualifications
SPECIALIZED TRAINING, SKILLS, ABILITIES, EXPERIENCE:
- Industrial truck license
- Knowledge of hand pallet jack, wrapping machine, scale, printer and computer
- Knowledge of shipping/receiving procedures
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS / WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Works in factory environment with noise from manufacturing environment. Exposure to moving equipment, parts and electrical shock. Possible serious injury due to carelessness around equipment.
- Often lifts, carries or moves objects-weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Sometimes lifts, carries or moves objects – weighing more than 50 pounds.
