2. About the Opportunity: The Lead Software Developer will play a key role in guiding the Enterprise Billing team’s development efforts. This position involves collaborating with architects to set technical direction, researching new technologies, developing proofs of concept, and establishing standards. The role contributes by analyzing applications for cloud migration, proposing solutions, and implementing changes to ensure project success, requiring strong self-direction and technical expertise.
3. Responsibilities:
- Collaborate within an Agile Scrum team to design, develop, test, debug, and support new or enhanced software
- Work closely with business and technical partners to create solutions that meet requirements
- Demonstrate ownership of the development lifecycle and promote accountability among team members
- Mentor others on business processes related to the team’s applications to resolve support issues
- Design, develop, maintain, and support automated test code, frameworks, and infrastructure
- Collaborate with product developers to define and implement automated tests
- Coach and mentor on producing required development artifacts
- Review peers’ designs and code; document work for transparency and reuse
- Understand complex distributed systems end-to-end
- Build unit tests, debug integration issues, and deploy emergency patches as needed
- Influence team efforts to successfully complete medium and large projects through collaboration
- Deliver production-quality enterprise-grade systems meeting scalability, reliability, and performance targets
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and assignments with accountability for results
4. Requirements:
- Minimum of 8 years of professional experience with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- Knowledge of software development methodologies, standards, and coding best practices
- Experience with development languages and web stack technologies including C#, Python, Typescript, SQL, Spark, Scala, Angular, ASP.NET Core/Blazor, HTML, and CSS
- Experience with databases/data platforms such as SQL Server, Oracle, Elastic Search, PostgreSQL, SQLite
- DevSecOps experience including Git, GitHub Actions, TFS, Terraform
- Familiarity with Rest API, Open API Spec, oAuth, SSO, OTEL/DataDog, Cloud messaging/Kafka
- Experience with data structuring languages such as JSON, YAML, Markdown, XML, XSD
- Experience with major cloud providers including Azure and AWS
- Knowledge of cloud-native technologies like containerization, Kubernetes, and Docker
Bonus qualifications:
- AI engineering experience

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:
- $105,786 - $141,047 in select states including AL, AZ, FL, GA, IA, and others
- $111,074 - $148,099 in select states including CO, HI, MI, MN, NC, NH, NV, OR, RI
- $116,364 - $155,152 in select states including AK, CA, CT, DC, DE, IL, MA, MD, NJ, NY, TX, VA, WA
- Compensation is based on skills, experience, and location
