Position Summary
The Program Coordinator coordinates community outreach initiatives that raise awareness of healthy
living, connect service-area residents to essential preventive medical services, and facilitates seamless
navigation through screenings and preventive care.
Primary Position Responsibilities
- Provides outreach activities to promote cancer prevention awareness and screenings.
- Coordinates community events & connects people to needed resources.
- Prepares & distributes educational materials that promote healthy lifestyle and positive health
outcomes.
- Assists with data collection for grant reporting and renewals making sure grant deliverables are
met or exceeded.
- Assists patients with navigating their healthcare and screenings.
- Actively seeks strategies to reach residents experiencing barriers to access to care..
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
Required: High School Diploma
Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Health Education, Public Health, Nursing or related degree.
Minimum Years Of Experience (Amount, Type And Variation)
Required: 2 Years
Preferred: Experience with community outreach & health promotion.
License, Registry Or Certification
Required: Valid Driver’s License
Preferred
Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:
Required: Computer skills including Google Suite and Excel
Excellent communication and strong customer service skills are a must.
