About The Role
We are seeking a talented and experienced Frontend Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at LyteForge. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing and enhancing our web-based applications with real-time communication capabilities and sophisticated data visualizations. Your primary responsibilities will include utilizing SocketIO to implement real-time features, creating interactive graphics with D3.js, and collaborating closely with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes into functional, user-friendly interfaces. You will be expected to write clean, maintainable code, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot frontend issues to ensure optimal performance. Working within an agile development environment, you will collaborate with backend developers to seamlessly integrate frontend components with server-side APIs. The ideal candidate will stay updated with the latest trends in frontend development and contribute to the continuous improvement of our development processes and tools. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to projects that have national security implications and require a high level of professionalism and technical expertise.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must meet the following qualifications:
- Ability to qualify and maintain a security clearance, as this role involves sensitive and classified information.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional frontend development experience, with a strong understanding of business environments and client interactions.
- Proven experience with real-time communication technologies, particularly SocketIO.
- Proficiency in data visualization libraries, especially D3.js, to create interactive and engaging graphics.
- Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
- Experience working within an agile development environment.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to professionally handle client and team interactions.
- Demonstrated responsibility, punctuality, and reliability in previous roles.
- Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure, maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Utilize SocketIO to develop real-time communication features within web applications, ensuring seamless data exchange and interaction.

In addition to benefits, the position offers a competitive starting salary from $91,000 per year, with additional compensation opportunities based on performance and project requirements.
