Akkodis is seeking a
Java API Developer for a
Contract with a client in
Charlotte, NC. The ideal candidate with deep expertise in REST APIs, Spring Boot, and microservices security, responsible for delivering robust cloud‑ready API solutions.
Rate Range: $50/hour to $53/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Java API Developer Job Responsibilities Include
- Design, develop, and deploy secure and scalable Java‑based REST APIs and Spring Boot microservices.
- Build and maintain end‑to‑end features for the business banking platform while ensuring high performance and reliability.
- Contribute to system architecture by creating well‑structured, maintainable technical designs that consider dependencies, failure states, and long‑term support.
- Lead and participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to engineering best practices, coding standards, and security/compliance guidelines.
- Support cloud migration initiatives, including the transition of micro‑applications to the Azure platform.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to make customer‑centric design and coding decisions that enhance overall platform experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 8–10+ years of hands‑on experience in Java, REST API development, and Spring Boot.
- Strong proficiency in microservices architecture, API security, and cloud-based development.
- Experience with tools such as Git, Jira, Jenkins, GraphQL, and test automation frameworks.

Pay Details: $50.00 to $53.00 per hour
