Machine Learning Engineer, Data Mining

2. About the Opportunity:

The Machine Learning Engineer, Data Mining role is focused on developing advanced machine learning systems that power data mining and analysis for autonomous driving data. This position involves building and optimizing ML models and pipelines to enhance data retrieval and support model improvement processes. The role contributes to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of post-training analysis, error diagnosis, and dataset curation, directly impacting the advancement of autonomous driving technology.

3. Responsibilities:

• Develop, train, and fine-tune machine learning models for multimodal sensor data.

• Implement scalable data preprocessing and augmentation pipelines.

• Apply optimization techniques to ensure efficient model deployment.

• Develop embedding-based search tools and active learning workflows.

• Build and maintain dashboards to monitor model and system performance.

• Follow software engineering best practices including version control, CI/CD, and testing.

• Collaborate with engineers to translate prototypes into scalable solutions.

4. Requirements:

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related field.

• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or JAX for training models.

• Proficiency in Python with clean and modular coding skills.

• Knowledge of version control, unit testing, and software design patterns.

• Experience with large datasets and data libraries (SQL, Pandas, NumPy).

• Understanding of the full machine learning lifecycle.

• Proactive learner with ability to adapt in a high-stakes environment.

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Salary range: $144,000—$192,000 USD base salary.

• Additional compensation may include bonus or company equity.

• Final compensation depends on experience, skills, location, certifications, and business needs.
