Staff Engineer, Agentic Developer Platform

2. About the Opportunity:

The Staff Engineer, Agentic Developer Platform will design and lead the development of a new internal AI platform. This role''s purpose is to create core AI infrastructure and frameworks that enable company teams to quickly build and deploy AI-powered workflows. The position is critical for shaping foundational systems that support AI integration across the organization, directly influencing operational efficiency and the ability to innovate with AI.

3. Responsibilities:

• Design and own the core AI infrastructure, including shared systems and integration patterns.

• Make foundational decisions on models, orchestration, data access, and deployment standards.

• Build an extensible platform that teams can independently expand.

• Develop operational tools for deployment monitoring, logging, and feedback.

• Design and build the agent framework and skill library for workflow automation.

• Define interfaces and composition patterns for reusable AI components.

• Support a range of automation complexities from simple to multi-agent workflows.

• Assist internal teams in moving from ideas to working AI implementations.

• Create internal tooling, documentation, and onboarding to facilitate platform use.

• Act as a technical partner to help teams adopt the platform effectively.

• Collaborate with Product to identify AI opportunities that improve workflows.

• Maintain feedback loops with users to continuously improve the platform.

• Establish company-wide standards for AI safety, reliability, and quality.

• Align AI infrastructure with organizational architectural strategies.

• Participate in technical discussions influencing AI work across teams.

4. Requirements:

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on platforms, infrastructure, or developer tooling.

• Experience building shared systems supporting other engineers.

• Hands-on experience with production AI systems such as LLM integrations, agents, and retrieval pipelines.

• Strong skills in API and abstraction design.

• Familiarity with tool-use and integration patterns like MCP.

• Proven ability to scope and deliver greenfield technical projects.

• Collaborative and effective in cross-functional coordination without formal authority.

• Understanding of the gap between prototype and production AI and experience addressing it.

• Proactive in seeking product and cross-team context to advance work.

5. Pay Range and Compensation Package:

• Base salary range: $233,750 - $343,750 annually.

• Compensation includes annual bonuses or commission awards, equity awards, and region-specific health and welfare benefits.
