Program Manager

Job Summary: The Program Manager is responsible for the administration of our torture treatment program, including compliance with funder requirements, programmatic and financial reporting, communication with funding entities, and program development. They will clearly communicate funders’ goals, objectives and outcomes to staff and will manage in-house data to produce reports, track trends, and analyze data.

Job Responsibilities:

Grants Management (45%):

• Clearly and consistently communicates funders’ goals, objectives and expected outcomes to staff, contractors, and volunteers
• Builds and maintains relationships with grants administrators and program partners
• Ensures compliance with grant regulations and conditions
• Writes comprehensive monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual reports to grantors, and submits them on time
• Works closely with the Executive Director to review progress on grant objectives, relationships with funders, financial reports, and reporting/application timelines

Program Management (30%):

• Works with Leadership and Direct Service staff to support administrative components of program planning and implementation
• Utilizes Salesforce report functions and Asana project management tools to coordinate projects and reports with the administrative team
• Maintains records of volunteer services and in-kind value of services/donations
• Onboards, supports, and provides oversight for a small pool of volunteers
• Supports Executive Director, as requested and in consideration of other responsibilities, in funds development, event planning, and marketing
• May be asked to represent THRIVE on special projects and/or committees

Budget & Data Management (15%):

• Works with the admin staff to ensure accurate drawdown of funds within contract restrictions and allocate expenses as budgets allow
• Ensures staff are entering data into database in a systematic and timely manner; provides technical assistance to staff for the purposes of entering data; trains new staff on database system
• Generates data reports as needed for staff and funders
• Modifies and updates database as needed
• Ensures client outcomes are tracked and reported in line with agency and funder goals

Agency Responsibilities (10%):

• Participate in other department and organization-wide activities, meetings and trainings.
• Attend trainings relevant to job function, as supported by the budget and supervisor

Qualifications:

Required education, experience, certificates, licenses or registrations

• Bachelor’s degree or 4 years’ experience in nonprofit administration
• Experience, comfort, and sensitivity working in multi-cultural environments
• Written and spoken fluency in English

• Demonstrated interest in the THRIVE mission and the experience of torture survivors
• Must maintain confidentiality and appropriate professional boundaries with client information
• Must pass background check

Supervisory Responsibilities: No supervisory responsibilities

Work Environment:

Work is performed primarily on-site at THRIVE offices in Murray, UT, with hybrid remote flexibility after 90 days. Additional time away from the office is likely, including outreach events, grantor meetings, and community partner engagements. Time spent on the computer is approximately 80%

Physical Demands: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. The employee frequently is required to sit (at a desk for extended periods of time), stand, and walk. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift office products and supplies, of up to 10 pounds. This employee may be required to drive and automobile.

Travel: A valid driver’s license and current automobile insurance is required

About THRIVE Center for Survivors of Torture: The mission of THRIVE Center for Survivors of Torture (THRIVE) is to walk alongside survivors of torture through trauma-informed care that addresses both visible and invisible wounds. We provide integrated case support, mental health services, medical navigation, and community connections to help survivors rebuild trust, restore dignity, and thrive as part of our shared community.

At the core of torture, trust between two human beings is destroyed. Our services focus on restoring trust and helping a survivor rebuild emotional, physical, social, and spiritual bonds. Our work also aims to prevent the effects of intergenerational trauma.

THRIVE was founded in 2003 in response to the unmet needs of torture survivors in our community. Today, THRIVE is the only organization in Utah that specializes in serving torture survivors. To date we have served over 5,000 individuals.

Our trauma-informed services include: individual, couple, & family psychotherapy • group therapy, support, & education • intensive case management • medical assessment, advocacy, & referral • psychiatric care • pharmacological education • legal referral for asylum seekers • massage therapy • preventative & wellness care • comprehensive assessment & evaluation • specialized training and consultation for professionals who encounter torture survivors in their practice.

Position Details

• Full-Time, 40 hours/week

• Hourly, non-exempt $25-$32 per hour

• Reports to: Executive Director
