What We’re Looking For
Simpli.fi is seeking a Senior Elixir Developer with expertise in OTP to join the team in developing a high-performance, real-time bidding and campaign management platform.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Senior Elixir Developer, you will be responsible for building and upgrading sophisticated distributed systems. These systems manage vast amounts of data through real-time OTP applications. Your work will span multiple locations in different geographic regions, requiring high-throughput message processing and high-speed cache communication.
YOU’LL HAVE THE FOLLOWING TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE:
- 3+ years of production Elixir/OTP experience with demonstrable expertise in GenServer patterns, Supervisor trees, concurrent processing and parallel workloads, and ETS tables for in-memory storage
- Clear working knowledge of message processing with Kafka, backpressure, and batch processing strategies
- Experience with a database & caching using Ecto and ETS for persistent local storage
- Performance telemetry and metrics collection
- Expert-level understanding of process supervision strategies, concurrent process management, message passing patterns, and fault tolerance & recovery
