About The Role
We are seeking a Junior Java Software Engineer to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis. This position offers an exciting opportunity to support a critical government contract by providing technical expertise in software development and system maintenance. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced engineers to develop, integrate, and sustain mission-critical software systems. The role requires a proactive individual capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team environment. Candidates must possess an active or reinstatable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance, as this is a mandatory requirement for the position.
Qualifications
- Possess an active or reinstatable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
- 0+ years of professional experience in software development
- Bachelor of Science degree or similar discipline; substitution of 4 years of experience for a degree is acceptable
- Proficiency in developing Java Web or NodeJS applications
- Experience with CSS for front-end styling and layout
- Knowledge of developing or integrating with RESTful services
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Java Web applications and NodeJS-based solutions
- Implement and style user interfaces using CSS
- Design, develop, and integrate RESTful APIs and services
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement software solutions
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables
- Assist in the documentation of software design, development processes, and user manuals
- Support system upgrades and troubleshooting efforts to ensure operational stability
- Maintain compliance with security protocols and standards required for government systems
