Job Description
Engineering Leadership & Team Development
- Provide direction, coaching, and professional development to the engineering team to build a high-performing organization
- Allocate resources and prioritize workloads to meet project deadlines and business objectives
- Conduct performance evaluations, including structured feedback processes
- Reinforce a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
Program Execution & Process Engineering
- Lead end-to-end development programs, including research, validation, and production readiness
- Oversee creation, validation, and maintenance of manufacturing processes and technical documentation
- Ensure engineering activities are effectively planned and executed using business systems and tools
- Drive initiatives that improve process capability, efficiency, and scalability
Customer Engagement & Commercial Support
- Partner with customers to define technical requirements and ensure successful project delivery
- Support commercial activities by contributing to cost estimates, process feasibility, and technical proposals
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and external stakeholders
- Provide input on growth opportunities, including new technologies and market expansion
Cross-Functional Integration
- Collaborate closely with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, and Finance to ensure seamless project execution
- Facilitate smooth transfer of programs from engineering development into full production
- Ensure adherence to internal quality systems and external regulatory/certification requirements
Technical Leadership & Governance
- Maintain and extend expertise in relevant manufacturing technologies, including welding and materials applications
- Oversee engineering standards, documentation, and compliance practices
- Lead structured problem-solving efforts and guide technical decision-making

The Successful Applicant
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline (required)
- Advanced degree (e.g., Master's or MBA) preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of engineering experience with demonstrated leadership responsibility
- Background in manufacturing and process development; experience with joining or welding technologies is advantageous
