About The Role
The Senior Full Stack Developer at Foundation Finance is a highly experienced and versatile professional responsible for leading the design, development, and maintenance of our web applications. This role requires expertise in both front-end and back-end development, with a focus on creating scalable, secure, and high-performance web architectures. The Senior Full Stack Developer will play a pivotal role in guiding the evolution of our technology stack, which includes JavaScript, GraphQL, Jest, Kafka, MERN (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js), NestJS, Redis, SQL, and TypeScript. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of test-driven development, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance user experience and operational efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development, encompassing front-end, middleware, or back-end roles
- Proficiency with JavaScript, TypeScript, and modern web frameworks such as React, Node.js, and NestJS
- Experience with GraphQL, RESTful APIs, and test-driven development using Jest or similar testing frameworks
- Knowledge of database systems including MongoDB, SQL, and caching solutions like Redis
- Experience working within Agile methodologies and familiarity with tools like Jira
- Strong understanding of security best practices in web development
- Technical certifications from Amazon, Atlassian, Google, Microsoft, or related entities are a plus
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of front-end web architectures driven by middleware to efficiently retrieve data from back-end sources
- Develop and maintain software within our evolving technology stack, ensuring code quality and scalability
- Mentor and review code for team members, fostering best practices and continuous improvement
- Drive test-driven development practices, including writing comprehensive unit and integration tests
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, designers, and QA to define, design, and deploy new features
- Implement and uphold security standards to protect customer and company data across all applications
- Evaluate emerging technologies and contribute to product roadmaps, ensuring our solutions remain innovative and competitive
- Design web applications optimized for performance, scalability, and user experience
- Utilize Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira to plan sprints, track progress, and meet project milestones
- Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach to problem-solving
