Creative Financial Staffing (CFS) has partnered with a mission-driven nonprofit organization to identify an Interim Controller.

Highlights Of The Organization

Mission-driven group operating for over 100 years
Supporting individuals and families in Rhode Island through dozens of programs
Currently operating across 7 locations
Hybrid working schedule

The Interim Controller Will Assist the Organization During a Time of Transition, including:

Overseeing the month-end close
Reviewing accounts payable
Managing a team of 9
Approving third party billing
Tracking grant compliance
Ensuring year-end regulatory filings
Overseeing intercompany transactions
Gathering documentation for federal, state, and private grants

Background Expected Of The Interim Controller

BS in Accounting or experience equivalent (+4 years)

CPA is a bonus but not required

5+ years of progressive experience accounting including 2+ years of supervision
Nonprofit industry experience is preferred
