Key Responsibilities For The Assistant Controller
- Oversee and manage monthly close across multiple entities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of accounting professionals
- Manage internal controls and annual assessments across US and Canadian operations
- Partner with cross-functional leadership to improve processes and support business initiatives
- Oversee treasury activities, including disbursements and wire approvals
- Serve as primary liaison for internal and external audits
Qualifications For The Assistant Controller
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
- 5–7 years of experience in public accounting (Manager level) or in a product-based industry (manufacturing/distribution)
- Proven experience leading or managing accounting staff
- Strong systems experience; ERP implementation exposure highly preferred
