The Role
• Design, develop, and implement software components for highly scalable, fault-tolerant distributed database services in the cloud.
• Enhance existing software systems to meet growing availability demands from customers utilizing cloud database services.
• Collaborate with customers, stakeholders, and peers to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
• Write technical documentation for existing software designs and proposed new solutions.
• Investigate and solve complex technical challenges related to large-scale database systems.
What You'll Need
• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• 2+ years of experience in designing or architecting new and existing systems, focusing on reliability and scaling.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Experience with the full software development lifecycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing highly scalable, fault-tolerant, and resilient systems.
