Overview
We are hiring a Structural Engineer with an active Texas PE license and 7+ years of experience. This role mainly focuses on residential projects (about 95%), including single-family and some multi-family homes, with limited commercial work.
Responsibilities
- Design structural components for residential and commercial projects
- Perform calculations for wood, steel, and concrete structures
- Work on foundations, slabs, and retaining walls
- Apply design codes such as IRC, IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, and AISC
- Review and resolve engineering issues
- Collaborate with team members and support project delivery
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- 7+ years of structural engineering experience
- Active Texas PE license (required)
- Strong experience in residential design
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, RISA, and MS Office
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
