Java Developer

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Java Developer with 10+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java/J2EE technologies, microservices architecture, cloud platforms, and modern software development practices. The candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-performance, and secure applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise Java applications.
- Develop scalable and high-performing applications using Java/J2EE technologies.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and Microservices-based applications.
- Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and stakeholders to understand business requirements.
- Participate in system design, code reviews, and technical discussions.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications.
- Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Integrate applications with databases, third-party APIs, and enterprise systems.
- Implement secure coding standards and best practices.
- Work in Agile/Scrum development environments and participate in sprint planning and retrospectives.
- Prepare technical documentation, design documents, and deployment procedures.
- Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.
- Support production deployments and resolve production issues when required.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 10+ years of hands-on experience in Java development.
- Strong expertise in Core Java, Java 8/11/17, and J2EE technologies.
- Experience with frameworks such as Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Hibernate, and Apache Kafka.
- Strong experience in developing RESTful Web Services and Microservices architecture.
- Experience with frontend technologies such as Angular, React, JavaScript, HTML5, and CSS3 is a plus.
- Strong SQL and database development experience with Oracle Database, Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Maven, Gradle, and Git.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), Design Patterns, and Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience in unit testing frameworks such as JUnit and Mockito.
- Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in distributed systems and event-driven architecture.
- Exposure to DevOps practices and automation tools.
- Knowledge of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.
- Experience with financial services, healthcare, retail, or enterprise applications is preferred.
- Relevant Java or Cloud certifications are a plus.
Educational Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
- Master’s degree is preferred.
