The Role
- Design, develop, and debug mission-critical software for unmanned and autonomous ships.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle within a Scrum team.
- Provide technical leadership on small projects and mentor junior developers.
- Conduct peer reviews of software and contribute to continuous process improvement.
- Collaborate with client project teams and assist with evaluating field tests.
- Develop simulations for software verification and testing.
What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or STEM field, plus 4+ years of software development experience (or 2+ with a Master's), with at least 2 years using Linux and C++.
- Significant experience providing guidance and coaching to other developers.
- Proven experience designing complex systems, considering performance and user requirements.
- Exposure to high availability, sensor fusion, target tracking, path planning, communications systems, or military systems integration.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
