About This Position
The Behavior Intervention Developer (BID) plays a vital role in supporting students with disabilities by developing and guiding individualized behavior interventions that align with students’ unique learning needs and IEP goals. The BID serves as a leader in inclusive and equitable education by designing Behavior Intervention and Support Plans, providing direct support to students, and managing and coaching Behavior Intervention Implementation Associates (BIIs).
In partnership with the Director of Special Education, the BID will contribute to staffing and ensure services are compliant and aligned with instructional models. Rooted in progressive, interdisciplinary educational model, this role offers the opportunity to collaborate closely with
school leaders, educators, families, and student support teams to ensure every child receives a holistic, supportive, and high-quality education experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement data-drive Behavior Intervention and Support Plans aligned with students’ IEPs
- Support the hiring and onboarding of BIIs
- Develop BII schedules and assign them to students based on service needs and provide ongoing modeling and training
- Serve as a manager and coach to BIIs, providing regular feedback, modeling, and annual evaluations
- Conduct field observations and monitor fidelity of implementation and data documentation
- Provide direct 1:1 behavior intervention services to students as needed

- Collaborate with classroom educators and other support specialist (e.g. School Counselors, School Psychologists, etc) to ensure integrated behavior supports
- Engage and communicate with families regarding student progress and goals
- Maintain accurate student documentation and effectively manage assigned caseloads
- Attend and contribute to IEP meetings and collaborate with related service providers
- Additional duties as assigned by Director of Special Education
