Key ResponsibilitiesFrontend Development (React + Figma Implementation)

• Convert Figma designs into a production-grade, responsive, performant React application using modern best practices (TypeScript, state management, modular components, etc.).

• Develop and maintain reusable, accessible UI components aligned with design and user experience requirements.

• Collaborate with design and product teams to refine UIs, resolve edge cases, and ensure high fidelity to design intent.

• Optimize performance, ensure cross-browser compatibility, and uphold high standards for web usability and accessibility.

Backend & API Engineering

• Build and maintain secure, scalable backend services and APIs (Node.js / Python or equivalent) to support frontend functionality and AI workflows.

• Develop integrations with internal and external systems (e.g. user authentication, image processing, data storage, analytics).

• Write robust unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews; uphold coding standards and best practices.

• Influence architectural decisions—data contracts, API design, performance, error handling, observability.

AI / LLM Integration & Implementation

• Work collaboratively with our science/engineering teams to integrate AI/LLM models into the product, powering features such as virtual try-on, image processing, and user personalisation.

• Implement API clients, model configuration, prompt orchestration, error-handling, telemetry, and monitoring for AI services.

• Design or support retrieval/context workflows, leveraging embeddings or vector stores, as required.

• Monitor AI‐driven features in production for performance, quality, and reliability; iterate to improve user experience and backend stability.

Ownership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Own end-to-end features: from design handoff, implementation, testing, deployment to production monitoring.

• Collaborate with design, product, ML teams to align engineering milestones with product vision.

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers: share best practices, code structure strategies, AI integration lessons, and frontend/back-end patterns.

• Contribute to technical roadmap, refactoring efforts, and continuous improvement of our stack and release processes.

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience (Full Stack / Frontend heavy).

• Deep expertise in React and TypeScript, with a track record of shipping production UIs.

• Proven experience converting visual designs (Figma or similar) into polished, responsive web frontends.

• Strong backend implementation skills (Node.js and/or Python or similar) for building APIs and server-side logic.

• Hands-on experience integrating AI/LLM models or APIs in production-grade applications.

• Solid understanding of HTTP, REST, JSON, authentication, and modern API design.

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or equivalent deployment/CI-CD setup.

• Experience with developing PWA, iOS and Android and/or WeChat apps.

• Experience with coding automation and effective communications using generative AI tools.

• Strong software engineering fundamentals: architecture, testing, performance optimization, security best practices.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work across teams (product, design, data science).

• Self-motivated with the ability to continuously learn new tools and frameworks to keep up with industry standards.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Next.js or other SSR/SSG frameworks for React applications.

• Familiarity with AI / orchestration frameworks (e.g. LangChain, LlamaIndex) and vector databases.

• Prior experience working on RAG pipelines, multi-agent workflows, or AI-driven feature toolchains.

• Experience maintaining or contributing to design systems or component libraries (Storybook, style systems, etc.).

• Hands-on involvement in early-stage or 0→1 product development environments.

• Exposure to analytics, A/B testing, or usage instrumentation for AI features and UI performance.

• Past startup and international experience preferred.

What Success Looks Like (First 6–12 Months)

• Within the first 1–2 months, you ship polished UI features built from design handoffs and complete your first AI model/API integration. Migrate existing web and app to an AI agent assisted tooling for none-coders to be able to make frontend changes.

• By month 3–6, you own significant feature spaces, publish a mobile app version of core products, collaborate across design and ML teams, and contribute to scaling infrastructure or architecture.

• Within 6–12 months, you lead the development of core AI-enabled experiences, mentor your engineering peers, and help define the technical direction for product & AI at Wear It AI.
