Company Overviews

We are the largest road freight transportation platform in Latin America. Using Machine Learning algorithms, we connect trucks with freight in real time and in a secure way, reducing idle truck capacity and increasing safety in transportation.

In 2023, our marketplace facilitated over R$ 70 billion in payments from 25,000 companies to more than 900,000 drivers, who transported approximately R$ 2 trillion in cargo value.
We are one of Brazil’s unicorn companies (with a market value above US$ 1 billion) and are made up of the following brands: Fretebras, the largest road freight marketplace in Latin America; Cargo X, a company offering operational services for carriers; and Intersite, a company that provides a complete transportation management system.

We’ve already achieved remarkable milestones:
Ranked 1st among the 25 startups with the highest growth potential in Brazil | Fundação Dom Cabral Ranking

Top 5 in People Management | Época Negócios Yearbook – Services Category
- 16th place in the Employers for Youth (EFY) ranking | FirstJob – - Best companies for young professionals to work for

Good technical challenges and team, but leadership can be inconsistent.
Pros: The engineering team at frete.com is really strong. I enjoyed collaborating with my peers on complex problems and felt like we were genuinely building something valuable in the logistics industry. There are plenty of interesting technical challenges to sink your teeth into, and the remote work setup is very well managed. It's a great environment if you value autonomy and are self-motivated.
Cons: While individual contributors are excellent, the upper leadership could sometimes be a bit disconnected from the day-to-day realities of the engineering teams. This occasionally led to shifts in project priorities or unclear long-term vision, which made planning a bit difficult. Better communication and transparency from the top would be beneficial.
Advice to Management: Continue fostering the strong team collaboration and technical excellence. Focus on enhancing leadership communication and providing a clearer, more consistent strategic roadmap for engineering.
