About The Role
We are working with a prominent global financial services organization that is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Senior Full Stack Developer. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable web applications, contributing to the overall architecture, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. The position is based in London with a hybrid work model requiring three days in the office per week. The initial contract duration is six months, with a competitive daily rate ranging from 550 to 650 GBP, inside IR35 via Umbrella.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background with proven experience in full stack development. Essential qualifications include proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript, with hands-on experience using Next.js or React frameworks. Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly Amazon Web Services (AWS), is required, along with experience in infrastructure as code using Terraform. Candidates should also have a solid understanding of code review processes and providing constructive feedback to engineering teams. Exposure to a broad spectrum of programming languages, frameworks, and cloud technologies is highly desirable. A background in financial services or investment banking will be considered an advantage, as it aligns with the industry-specific requirements of the role.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and efficient web applications using modern frameworks such as React or Next.js.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement best practices for coding, testing, and deployment to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Participate in code reviews, providing constructive feedback to team members to promote code quality and consistency.
- Work closely with cloud engineers to deploy and manage applications on AWS, utilizing Terraform for infrastructure provisioning.
- Identify areas for improvement within existing systems and suggest innovative solutions to enhance performance and functionality.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of development processes, architecture, and technical specifications.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices to continuously improve technical skills and team capabilities.
