About The Role

Our client, a major UK government defence organization, is seeking an experienced Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll Specialist to join their team on a long-term, high-profile transformation project. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on critical payroll change initiatives that impact thousands of employees nationwide. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing Oracle Fusion Cloud payroll solutions, supporting enterprise-wide change programmes. You will work within a modern DevOps environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, efficient, and scalable payroll systems that align with the organization’s strategic objectives. This position provides a unique chance to gain hands-on experience with a comprehensive Oracle Fusion Cloud payroll stack, contributing to significant national programs while enhancing your professional expertise in a secure, enterprise-scale environment.

Qualifications

• Active Security Clearance (SC) is preferred, with experience working within secure and demanding environments, particularly in government or defense sectors.
• Strong technical proficiency in Oracle Fusion Cloud Payroll modules, including Fast Formula, HCM Extract, HDL/HSDL, and integrations via OIC.
• Proficiency in reporting and analytics tools such as OTBI/BI, SQL, and PLSQL, with a proven ability to develop complex reports and data extracts.
• Experience working in corporate or public sector shared services environments, demonstrating the ability to adapt quickly and deliver solutions that meet stringent security and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a track record of analyzing complex issues, designing effective solutions, and implementing them within dynamic project environments.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively within multidisciplinary teams and translating technical requirements into practical solutions.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise Oracle Fusion Cloud payroll solutions, including Fast Formula, HCM Extracts, HDL/HSDL, and integrations via OIC, to support large-scale, mission-critical change programmes.
• Build and maintain comprehensive reporting and analytics using OTBI/BI and SQL/PLSQL, enabling data-driven decision-making and operational improvements across payroll functions.
• Collaborate within a modern software engineering and DevOps framework, ensuring all solutions adhere to security protocols, best practices, and organizational standards.
• Participate in the full project lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to testing, deployment, and ongoing support, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality solutions.
• Engage with stakeholders across different departments to understand their payroll needs, provide technical guidance, and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for automation, process optimisation, and system enhancements.
