About The Role

We are seeking a talented Object-Oriented PHP Developer to join our team in Hertfordshire. This role offers a split hybrid working arrangement, providing flexibility to work both remotely and on-site. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of how PHP engines operate under the hood, with a passion for writing native, efficient, and secure code without heavy reliance on external frameworks. You will be instrumental in designing and developing robust applications, optimizing complex databases, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions that drive our company's growth.

Qualifications

• Extensive commercial experience with PHP 7 and PHP 8.
• Deep understanding of Object-Oriented Programming principles, Design Patterns, and SOLID principles.
• Proven ability to develop features from scratch without relying on frameworks such as Laravel or Symfony.
• Excellent MySQL skills, including complex query optimization, indexing, and schema design.
• Strong focus on performance, security, and writing native, efficient code.
• Experience working in high-traffic environments with scalable architecture.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
