Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Network Engineer with 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in Datacenter infrastructure, with specific expertise in racking, stacking, and structured cabling of networking equipment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring physical network and server infrastructure is implemented and maintained according to high-quality standards and best practices.
Job Roles & Responsibilities: -
- Perform rack and stack of network devices, servers, and other datacenter equipment.
- Execute cabling (fiber and copper) tasks including labeling, tracing, and patching.
- Perform regular physical audits and inspections of network infrastructure.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot network switches, routers, and patch panels.
- Maintain documentation of all cabling layouts and hardware installations.
- Collaborate with remote teams for troubleshooting and physical interventions.
- Ensure compliance with safety, security, and quality standards within the datacenter.
- Support in datacenter migrations, upgrades, and infrastructure expansions.
- Provide hands-on support during network outages or scheduled maintenance.
Job Skills & Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (preferred).
- 4 to 6 years of hands-on experience in datacenter operations including racking, cabling, and hardware installations.
- Strong knowledge of network hardware (Cisco, Juniper, Arista, etc.).
- Familiarity with structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA).
- Ability to read and interpret network diagrams and cabling schematics.
- Experience with labeling, inventory management, and asset tracking.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
