About The Role
We’re looking for a
Java Analyst Developer to join a large-scale enterprise environment within the
insurance sector, focusing on the modernization and upgrade of business-critical applications.
You’ll play a key role in upgrading Java applications, improving system performance, and ensuring seamless integration across a complex IT landscape.
What You’ll Do
- Upgrade and maintain Java applications (versions 17–21)
- Design and develop transactional web applications
- Translate functional requirements into technical solutions (UML is a plus)
- Build and optimize APIs and integration flows (MuleSoft)
- Perform testing (integration, regression, performance)
- Support deployments and production releases
- Collaborate in an Agile/Scrum environment
Must-Have Skills
- Strong experience with Java (J2EE / Java 8+ / 11 / 17+)
- Hands-on with Spring (MVC / Boot)
- Experience with MuleSoft (mandatory)
- Solid knowledge of:
- REST APIs & integrations
- SQL / ORM (Hibernate, JPA)
- JavaScript / HTML / CSS
- Experience with Docker/containerization
- Strong understanding of testing frameworks (JUnit, etc.)
- Fluent in Dutch + good English
Nice to Have
- Experience with JSP / jQuery (legacy systems)
- Exposure to Liferay, Alfresco, Selenium
- Knowledge of API design (RAML, DataWeave)
- Experience in insurance or banking environments
