About Uplico
Our mission is to make the employee lifecycle run on agents, not on tickets.
We are building an agent-native HR operating system that handles the operational layer of HR (sourcing, screening, interviews, onboarding, performance, offboarding) end-to-end, with humans owning the decisions that actually require judgment. Our thesis is that HR software is moving from tools that support teams to systems that operate core workflows autonomously, and we are building toward that with enterprise customers in Turkey and MENA, with expansion into Europe and North America underway.
Today we have our ATS 2.0 in production, our Sourcing Agent shipping, and Workforce Management in alpha. We work with enterprise teams in textile, banking, retail, automotive, and Big 4 services. We closed our angel round and are mid-seed.
Some things to know about us:
- We are a small founding team based in Istanbul. The whole team is involved in customer conversations, because that is where the product gets shaped.
- We move fast and ship frequently. One engineer's contribution moves the entire product, not a fraction of one feature.
- Our customers are real enterprise HR teams running hundreds to thousands of hires per year, with the operational complexity that comes with that.
- The category we are building in (agent-native HR) does not have a clear analog yet. That makes the work both harder and more interesting.
Software Engineer, Full Stack @ Uplico
We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer who will help us turn the HR operating model on its head. As one of our early engineers, you will work directly with the founders on product strategy, design, and shipping. You will have unusual ownership: features end-to-end from ideation to deployment, direct customer conversations, and a real say in the architecture of an agent-native HR platform that does not have a clear analog in the market yet.
What You'll Do
- Drive product strategy and execution. Work with the founders and the small engineering team to define what we build next based on customer signal, technical possibility, and our thesis on agentic HR. You will be in customer demos, sprint planning, and architecture discussions.
- Design and build full stack features. Span backend and frontend on real customer-facing features: sourcing flows, AI interview pipelines, performance modules, agent orchestration interfaces. Ship to production frequently.
- Build the agent layer underneath. A significant portion of the work is designing how AI agents handle HR workflows end-to-end. You will be shipping agent integrations and human-in-the-loop interfaces.
What You'll Bring
- A proven track record of execution. 3+ years of hands-on engineering experience building production web products. You have shipped, broken, and recovered things.
- Comfort with AI tools and real experience implementing AI into a main product. LLMs, agents, embeddings, RAG, structured outputs, orchestration. You can be able to develop structured agent pipeline that runs reliably in production.
- You love being a product manager as well as an engineer. Our product engineers drive and own products from end to end. You think about the user problem, not just the implementation.
- You are an empathetic communicator. You can talk to a CHRO at a 5000-person company and to a CTO co-founder in the same week, in the right register for each. In disagreements you prioritize curiosity over confrontation.
- You ship craft. You translate the right solution into bug-free, understandable code and raise the engineering bar for those around you.
- Diversity of perspectives matters to you. We are building a global product from Istanbul. Different backgrounds make the product better.
- You are familiar with our tech stack or can learn unfamiliar technologies quickly. Our current stack: Next.js, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, Radix UI (frontend)
- Node.js, Python (backend services)
- PostgreSQL, Redis (data layer)
- AWS: Lambda, ECS, S3, OpenSearch
