Marshall Slingsby Advanced Composites is based in Kirkbymoorside, North Yorkshire, where it produces complex composite structures that are predominantly used to manufacture vital parts on ships, submarines and aircraft.

Responsibilities:
The role will be varied, and a level of flexibility will be required however the main responsibilities are outlined below.
- Provide electrical expertise to the site.
- Undertake repairs to site / plant equipment.
- Involvement with new equipment to site
- Undertake general / minor modifications to site.
- To be an active member of any facilities project activities
Tasks:
- To undertake inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair to electrical equipment on site.
- Liaise with contractors where necessary.
- Install or be involved with installation of new equipment.
- Provide electrical guidance and assistance with any site or equipment project work.
- Undertake PAT testing.
- Improve facilities and site equipment as part of wider facilities team.
- Understand and advise on operations of the company alarm system.
- Forklift driving
- Testing of safety equipment i.e., fire alarms
- Submit electronic requests for replacement or new items.
- Undertake PPM activities in line with schedule.
- From time to time, assisting other elements of the Facilities Department where the individual's competency.
- Be a member of the call out team.
- This includes the provision of first response assistance for facility and/or building services related emergencies.
Behavioural Competencies:
- Deliver results.

Technical Competencies:
- 18th Edition trained.
- Relevant electrical qualification
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- IT proficient
- Forklift truck licence / experience
- Knowledge of ATEX rating advantageous
